During Virtuoso’s 28th annual Luxury Travel conference in Las Vegas this past August, they unveiled the winners of it’s 10th annual Best of the Best Awards. These awards recognize standout Hotels and Resorts around the world. These are the type of hotels that we all want to stay at one day – they are gorgeous, innovative and provide the highest level of luxury and service.
To determine the winners Virtuoso surveyed its 390-plus agencies and more than 11,400 elite travel advisors (I am one of them now:)) to identify the winners in each of the following categories:
Hotel of the Year – Borgo Egnazia in Puglia, Italy
Best Achievement in Design – Faena Hotel Miami Beach in Miami, Florida
Best Culinary Experience – The Farmhouse Restaurant at the Farmhouse Inn in Sonoma, California
Best Bar – The New York EDITION in New York
Best Family Program – Rosewood San Miguel de Allende in Mexico
Best Spa – Grand Hotel Tremezzo in Lake Como, Italy
Most Innovative Guest Experience – Belmond Hotel das Cataratas, Foz do Iguacu, Brazil
Sustainable Tourism Leadership – &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
One to Watch – Hotel Eden Rome, a Dorchester Collection property in Rome, Italy
Hotelier of the Year – Jose Silva, manager of the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris, France
All of these resorts are beyond gorgeous and luxurious. Which one do you dream of staying at?
